RET13-0000006 - Kangaroo Island Tourism Employment Plan (TEP)
The TEP will deliver targeted and practical measures to address labour and skills issues in Kangaroo Island's tourism and hospitality region. It will link tourism businesses with programs geared towards improving education, training and employment outcomes. It will also implement industry-led, revenue-neutral solutions where gaps are identified.
The TEP will be forward-looking for a period of three years, with the term of the contract being 12 months. The successful tenderer will be required to work with local stakeholders to develop the TEP over a 12-month period. Following the 12-month period, the contractor will need to put in place sustainable measures to drive the delivery of the TEP over the next two years, which may include the establishment of a regional steering committee.
The TEP will be developed with the key principles of:
a) Identifying and working with industry to deliver practical short-term solutions by utilising existing programs;
b) Identifying and delivering industry-led (revenue-neutral) medium-term strategies; and
c) Providing regional capacity building strategies to ensure sustainability, including forming a regional steering committee (or other sustainable measure) to oversee and drive implementation.
Timeframe for Delivery 12 months
